
Terms and Conditions
The following terms and conditions will apply before, during and after the 2009 Tas Sci-Fi Convention, and apply to the event, competitions, and anything affiliated with said event. The event organisers reserve the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time as published on this website, www.tasscifi.com.
The event organisers or representatives of the venue reserve the right to refuse entry or eject any person from the premises for any reason.
For all competitions judges will be appointed by the organisers, and can include organisers themselves. All judges' decisions will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Each entry ticket will include competition entry forms. Replacements will not be given.
All goods sold during the event are the sole responsibility of the seller, and the promoters take no responsibility for any items sold in any way shape or form. All goods sold during the event are sold as collectables, on an 'as-is' basis - any missing or defective items will not be replaced or refunded by the organisers.
All visitors are responsible for their own property, the convention organisers accept no responsibility for any theft or damage that may occur whilst attending the event.
Competition Rules
For all competitions the first correct entry drawn will be declared the winner. In the event that no correct entries are found the first closest entry drawn will be declared the winner.
Prizes can be collected from the venue, or delivered within the Hobart metropolitan area to an address provided. Winners within Tasmania but outside of the Hobart metropolitan area will have their prizes delivered via Redline Coach to their nearest depot for collection. Prize-winners listing an address outside of Tasmania must arrange delivery or collection at their own expense within 30 days or the prize becomes the property of the event organisers.
All prizes must be claimed within 30 days or they will become the property of the event organisers.
All prize winners will be listed on our website at www.tasscifi.com, and will be contacted via telephone, e-mail or post at the discretion of the event organisers.
Only official entry forms that have been issued by the event organisers will be accepted. In the event that an entry form is suspected of being fraudulent by the event organisers it will not be accepted and no correspondence will be entered into.
All spot prizes will be awarded solely at the judges' discretion and no correspondence will be entered into.
All prizes are valued at RRP or "collectors value", whichever is greater.
Code of Conduct
No person in costume may enter any part of the Wrest Point Hotel/Casino except for the areas designated for use by the 2009 Tas Sci-Fi Convention.
No person may indiscriminately display any form of weapon whether replica or otherwise, and must surrender such items to either the event organisers or representatives of the venue if requested.
All signs within the venue must be observed at all times.
Smoking will not be permitted in or near the areas designated for use by the 2009 Tas Sci-Fi Convention, and where otherwise prohibited by the Wrest Point Hotel/Casino or by law.
Persons found to be or suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be denied entry at the discretion of the event organisers or representatives of the venue.
